Become a United Martial Arts Instructor
If you are interested in becoming a certified UMA instructor, inquire with your instructor. There is a years-tested, proven process in place, and he or she is the best place to start.
In many martial arts styles, the assumption traditionally has been that once students earn their black belts they are ready to teach other students. But the ATA does not believe that simply being able to do something well qualifies a person to teach it. During the last 30 years, the ATA has developed an intensive instructor training program to insure that all ATA instructors are skilled and professional teachers.
Some of the Personal Benefits our dedicated instructors receive from their hard work and effort include:
- Developing Leadership Skills
- Improving Their Kung Fu
- Learning Instructional Techniques
- Life Skills Training
- Sharpening Their Thinking Skills
- Valuable Business Training
- Understanding Kung Fu Philosophy - including Yin-Yang Theory, 5-Element Theory, 7 Chakra, 8 Trigrams, 12 meridians, mechanics of mind, mechanics of body
Remember to visit with your instructor and let them know you want a future with United Martial Arts!
Open Your Own School
Are you ready to become a Leader in the martial arts? Would you like to change people's lives?
Have you ever dreamt of owning your own school or maybe a club? Why not make it a reality. Realizing that this goal can be a very exciting moment in your life, the UMA family would like to share in that excitement. We create better instructors and students through individually licensed facilities. You can be part of this success as a licensee and mentor students to become their absolute best through the study of Chinese Kung Fu.
There are actually two types of UMA licenses you can be granted:
A License: A School licensee is person who has a full-time operation meaning that it is open 7 or more hours per week. It must also be an independent business (not part of another facility).
B License: A Club licensee is person who has a part-time operation that is open less than 6 hours per week. It can be part of another facility, such as a fitness club, recreation center or business of that nature.
There are a couple Basic Requirements to receive a license:
- You must be an actively training member of UMA
- You must be at least a First Degree Black Belt
- We ask that you seek the guidance and the knowledge your senior instructor has to offer.
Licensing: Opening an United Martial Arts school or club is done by purchasing a license, as opposed to franchising. The license rate differs appropriately for school license and club license.
